SeedAIxpert – Digital Seed Testing SeedAIxpert is the fastest digital seed testing system available, designed for high‐accuracy germination and seedling emergence analysis. By combining industrial‐grade cameras with advanced image processing and machine‐learning algorithms, SeedAIxpert automatically counts seeds and seedlings, measures dimensions, and discriminates normal versus abnormal seedlings. Users benefit from reproducible metrics—such as germination percentage, seedling length, and vigor indices—without tedious manual inspections. Its intuitive graphical interface and structured image file management enable rapid data export for downstream statistical analyses. The imaging process can be automated in SeedAIxpert HTC (semi-automated) and SeedAIxpert HT (fully automated).

PhenoAIxpert Systems for Laboratory Phenotyping LemnaTec’s PhenoAIxpert systems deliver versatile, application-oriented imaging solutions for a wide range of sample types—seedlings, potted plants, rhizotron‐grown roots, and luminescent assays. Each model combines industrial-grade optics with customizable lighting and machine-learning–driven analysis pipelines, ensuring reproducible, high-throughput phenotyping.

PhenoAIxpert Pro

Designed for comprehensive shoot and basic root phenotyping, PhenoAIxpert Pro features top- and side-view 12 MP RGB cameras with high-quality optics. Applications comprise growth assays, stress responses, and color metrics. The PhenoAIxpert Pro Multispectral enables imaging of vegetation indices, e.g., NDVI or fluorescence imaging. With a sample height capacity up to 40 cm PhenoAIxpert Pro supports multi-view pot imaging via a motorized turntable.

PhenoAIxpert Flex

In larger cabinets, PhenoAIxpert Flex enables imaging of samples up to 100 or 200 cm height. Beyond RGB imaging – as in PhenoAIxpert Pro – the PhenoAIxpert Flex has options for hyperspectral (VNIR, SWIR) imaging and laser scanning.

PhenoAIxpert Pro Root

Tailored for rhizotron-based root studies, Pro Root integrates a 12 MP horizontal-view RGB camera for shoots and a perpendicular camera array for transparent rhizotron imaging. Patented rhizotron lighting reveals root architecture in situ. Combining the capabilities of PhenoAIxpert Pro and Pro Root in one cabinet, a foldable plate with a motorized turntable allows to switch seamlessly between rhizotron and pot modes. Phenotypic traits include root length, density, system width, and shoot morphology, all processed in the LemnaTec Software Suite.

PhenoAIxpert ES

PhenoAIxpert ES combines a deep-cooled, 4 MP CCD sensor for high-sensitivity bioluminescence with a 12 MP RGB camera for conventional phenotyping. Encased in a light-tight cabinet, ES records time-series luminescence (e.g., luciferase reporters, microbial colonization) alongside RGB traits (growth, morphology, color).

HyperAIxpert Laboratory Phenotyping

For detailed phenotyping of Arabidopsis, seedlings, petri dishes, microtiter plates, and other small samples, the HyperAIxpert Family provides a flexible, multi‐sensor imaging platform. Researchers can choose from visible light, hyperspectral, near‐infrared (NIR), chlorophyll fluorescence, and 3D laser scanners to capture morphology, physiological status, and spectral signatures. Configured with a TrayProvider module for automated sample loading, HyperAIxpert enables high‐throughput screening of hundreds of samples per day.

Automated Phenotyping Solutions for Greenhouses and Growth Rooms

In greenhouse or growth‐room settings, LemnaTec offers two complementary approaches:

CanopyAIxpert employs a gantry‐mounted, sensor-to-plant design. Sensors traverse fixed plant positions to capture overhead RGB, multispectral, and fluorescence images, delivering consistent canopy‐level trait data. PhenoAIxpert HT follows a plant-to-sensor workflow via a conveyor system. Potted plants are automatically transported through imaging stations, e.g., RGB, infrared, multispectral, hyperspectral, fluorescence, or laser scan, enabling non-destructive measurement of shoot architecture, color, and biophysical parameters. This
configuration is ideal for large breeding trials and allows seamless integration into existing glasshouse layouts.

FieldAIxpert – Outdoor Phenotyping

To bridge controlled environments and actual agronomic conditions, FieldAIxpert provides an outdoor sensor-to-plant setup based on a robust 3-axis rail system. FieldAIxpert captures high-resolution RGB, thermal, fluorescence, laser scan, and hyperspectral data across hundreds of field plots, quantifying traits like canopy cover, biomass, and stress indicators.

Software Ecosystem and Support
