Lecture ‘Seed analysis and sorting using 3D measurement technology’
By SeQso
Wednesday, September 24, 12:00-12:45
Speaker: Fred Hugen
In this lecture SeQso presents the latest sensor development system that is based on optical 3D measurements. The sensor can be used on the FlexSorter platform. The sensor can generate valuable information on the seed form, size, shape, dimension, and other morphologic related parameters. In this lecture we will show the technology of the sensor, how this sensor is used on our FlexSorter platform and what the benefit is of such a sensor with respect to a sensor that generated 2d images using darkfield methods. By using the results of the 3D sensor in combination with other sensors and our AI machine learning tool, it is possible to classify seeds in a different way than before. This opens the way to new sorting applications.
