LemnaTec delivers solutions for phenotyping applications that analyze seeds, seedlings, plants, and more. With non-invasive imaging techniques, using a wide range of camera types, combined with AI-based image processing, our technology enables measuring plant growth and performance as well as quality, starting from seed over the complete lifecycle.

Phenotyping applications comprise seed quality and seed germination testing, including paper-based germination assays and seedling emergence tests. Using machine learning, we enable researchers and industry professionals to customize the analyses according to their specific demands. Plant phenotyping applications cover genotype-phenotype studies, e.g., in screening of mutants or crossing progeny and assessments of treatment- and environment effects. Such applications are important in stress and disease investigations and contribute to breeding of climate-adapted crops.

With imaging systems of various configurations and cameras ranging from classical RGB over multi- and hyperspectral to chlorophyll fluorescence and laser scanning, we provide phenotyping technologies that suit for crops, vegetables, ornamentals and more – proven for more than 80 species and varieties in over 450 publications.
